Privacy policy
Ohmen doesn't collect your data. It can't.
Last updated 2026-09-08
Ohmen is an offline utility for estimating wire length from resistance. It does not collect, transmit, or sell personal data. This page explains what stays on your device and what the app can and cannot reach.
What the app stores
Everything below stays on your device:
- Unit system, theme, and language preference.
- Calculation log: resistance, estimated length, temperature, a material and size summary, an optional free text location or job tag, and a timestamp.
There is no account, no analytics SDK, no advertising ID, no crash reporter, and no network client of any kind.
Permissions
Ohmen declares none of the following in its manifest:
- INTERNET Not required
- ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION Not required
- ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION Not required
- READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE Not required
- CAMERA Not required

The location or job tag on a saved estimate is a string you type yourself, for
example Panel A. The app never reads GPS or any location hardware.
Backups
Android backup, if you have it enabled, may include Ohmen's local preferences and history file as ordinary app data. That copy sits in your own device backup account. Ohmen does not operate a server that could ever receive it.
Children's privacy
Ohmen is a trade tool and is not directed at children. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
